Recommended Anti-Virus (free?)

MattTheMayor

Building PC on Saturday and I really want to be careful with my beast. Yes I know there are people that will babble "just use ur common sense" or "u dont even need one" but just want to be extra safe.

All I know is I should connect the AV to malwarebytes and I should be alright. Any recommendations?

Malwarebytes. Avast. AVG. Kaspersky.

LOL no.. (malwarebytes isn't actually that terrible, the rest can all go to hell)

I personally use Eset nod32, it hasn't caused many issues for me, but if you're looking for something for free, Microsoft Security Essentials is not a bad option. it's built into the OS for windows 8.1. Win 7 you'll have to install it manually

Malwarebytes + AVG or Avast free

You always want malware protection + antivirus to have full protection.

Bad idea asking for Antivirus choice, everybody using something diferent, some ppl dont use anything at all. U will never get a straight answer here, just a cat fight :D

My suggestion: leave this topic for 2 days, come back, make a list of recommneded antiviruses and use the one who has the most votes.

Actually, add a poll to this topic and u are sorted :)
