I love the old Final Fantasy series up to 9 haven't played any after that. Please for the love of god use your new tech to reduex the FF franchise from 1 on to 9 true to the originals. I think people would buy these but maybe I am way to old skool and turn based fighting is outdated please do this before you go out of buisness.

Yeah I don't want anything new I would be happy with just ff5, ff6, and ff7. That would be way cool.

Yeah I don't want anything new I would be happy with just ff5, ff6, and ff7. That would be way cool.

Tactics would be nice too.

I disagree with the "turn based is out-dated" thing. I love turn based. Still do. I prefer it in my RPG's over anything else. Especially the crap systems in FFXII and FFXIII (both annoying and boring to me, and I've played 40 hours+ in both).

Disgaea does turn based. It's still relatively successful. You just have to have more than "you attack, they attack" like adding strategy and stuff. XIII's take on strategy was crap imo though.

I mean I could rant and rave about XII and XIII all day (the two FF's that I consider to be the "going down hill" section of the series), but I won't.

Final Fantasy XV looks interesting since it's made by the same people as KH, I expect the action RPG thing to actually be fun and good since KH's system is both of those things.

I don't usually play MMO's so I can't speak for FFXI, but I'm a Beta tester in FFXIV ARR and so far it looks epic (like, in a good way beyond graphics and story). Still waiting on enough money to buy a GTX 780 (running integrated graphics atm), so I can actually enjoy it at 20+ (likely 60+) FPS at 1080p at least.

Just for reference in regards to my experience with the FF series:

I've beaten FF (the original), FFVII, FF:Tactics, FFX, FFX-2 (it wasn't THAT bad), FFXII (was at the final boss, it counts), as well as both Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus.

I've played II, III, IV, V, VI, VIII, IX, and XIII for a minimum of 3-5 hours to 40 hours each (varies based on how much I liked it). I even played Crystal Chronicles on the Gamecube for about 5-10 hours, but couldn't get interested in their system. Same thing with the "sequel" to Tactics, A2. Not interested in it.

Of all the games, my favorites are in this order: FF (the original), Tactics, X, then VII (with the spinoffs).

Of the ones I haven't played but want to: Dissidia is at the top of that list along with the new Crystal Chronicles (I think Wii?) and all the other spinoffs for VII (Before Crisis, Dirge of Cerberus: Lost Episode, etc).

I'm not gonna ever try FFXI since XIV is on it's way and ... well I don't think I can now. I obviously can't talk much about XIV (beta tester agreement wtv) beyond "it's good."

If you count the KH series, I've played and beaten all of them except for 358/2 days, Coded, and 3DS (I'm getting 358/2 days in KH 1.5 Remix and Coded in 2.5 Remix).

I've seen Advent Children, it was pretty good (weird, but good).

If you want a reason why I never finished II, III, IV, V, VI, VIII, and IX, it's because I got bored basically along with their stories weren't particularly interesting to me. II, IV, and VIII had the strongest stories (of these specific ones) and I made it half way through IV and VIII because of that. However, III, V, and IX lost me within the first 5-10 hours. II was a special exception. I ran out of time (school) in playing that, I need to go back to it.

Needless to say, JRPG is my genre in gaming. It's what I prefer above all other genres and FF is a big reason for that.

Enix was never as good as Squaresoft. :\

I will admit that this is honestly true. IMO anyway.

Just saying, my favorite series of any game ever is Kingdom Hearts, and I'm still saying that. So.... take it as you will.

I have completed all of the FF games after VI but XIII will be that last for me they really need to decide what control system they want to use this half turn based 90% computer controlled BS that they have at the moment is awful it feels like your not really in control and the choices you make and the attacks you chose have no effect on the out come of the battle . Really XIII felt more like i was playing the exploration part and my Xbox was doing all the battles . I would LOVE square to either move to a full out elder scrolls style combat system or just go back to totally turn based

I loved the stories of the games, but always hated the gameplay. Absolutely love what they did with Kingdom Hearts though and I'm fanboying all over since KH3 was announced. Didn't like it was put on hold for FFXV, but I'm still gonna give it a shot, especially since it has a similar system to KH.
