Computer Randomly Started Getting Performance Issues

Hey guys, so I recently got the infinite windows 8 loop, which means that my computer wouldn't let me log in at all, just got stuck in the loop screen. Thus, I had to go get it repaired. It now works, but about one week later I am starting to get some serious performance issues. I get my notmal fps on games and everything, but sometimes I will get huge fps lag spikes that I normally wouldn't get. I went into my task manager to find that my disk space was always at 99%, however, I still have 100+ gigs of memory available and nothing from the task manager was taking space up. It was all white and a bit yellowish. I told some friends and they told me to get CCleaner and an anti virus program. So I got CCleaner and did all that jazz, got an anti-virus aswell and did what I had to do. However, my computer is STILL getting the random lag spikes.

I am extremely sad about this as I use my computer like every day, so if anyone could help, then it would mean the world to me. Thanks.

AMD 4300 FX Processor (or something like that)

Gtx 760 gpu

Corsair 750 psu

I added the gpu & psu on June, and my computer was working perfectly. However, now it just became slow as fuck ._.

So, just going to throw this out there: All of my Windows 8.1 PCs do that. One was a clean install of Win8. It does that. Another was an in-place upgrade from Win 7. It does that. The other is an iMac that I boot camped Win 8.1 onto. It also does that.

Usually though, the 100% usage is on startup (even after the clean install). The one thing that I have found that seems to reduce it is to run a full CHKDSK /f /r and it usually helps. And by help I mean, "it's not at 100% for as long". Again, this only happens (for me) at startup.

It takes me 20 minutes for a full startup. Yes, 20. And the 100% disk usage thing goes on even after start up.

That disk usage thing is actually Requests for information stored on the hard drive, NOT The actual space on the harddrive left btw.

That tends to happen when-

Lots of programs constantly need random files from all over the place

The hard drive is dying

Or your hardrive is incredibly fragmented.

Try-

1- Defragmenting your hard drive

2- Uninstalling some programs constantly taxing your harddrive

3- Back up your drive and buy a new one.

4- Unlikely , but try plugging the hard drive into a different Sata port / Use a different Sata cable, Plug it into the fastest port on your motherboard (Sata 6gbs)
