Blacking out LED case fans, how do to do it?

LED lights are very difficult to break

you could probably cut the cable to the led or rip the leds out.

other wise no. the only way to do it properly is to get fans with out leds.

You can do this depending on the wiring. If the LED stripe on the fan is in parallel you can simply make a cut at the lead of the first light, since the strip itself will be in series.

technically if you make a cut like that, you could fix it again if you, for whatever reason, wanted LED fans again.

A while back I upgraded from a smaller case to my wonderful monster the Azza Gen 9000. I filled all the fan slots I could, but a lot of my fans are from my old case which are green led fans. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to turn off the LEDs or black them out. I'm welcoming all suggestions. While I do know that buying new fans would be fast and simple, I'm currently housing 8 120mm Cougar Green Led fans, which at a cost of $22 USD each, I don't really want to waste these suckers. I am just looking at all my options on hand and I am down to either blacking out the green LEDs or replacing the 16 LED bulbs on the case and the plastic light strips.
