@SkilledRebuilds

Thanks. Those horrible frame time spikes... didn't you see the stuttering? Now I'm curious if they go away with mip0 loading disabled.

Didn't really notice them, I can say that I keep saying it's fixed, but you could say there is a very small subset of random stutter that could happen at any given time, but it's so small and not noticeable that it doesn't affect my gameplay at all.

In the dips I saw the fps counter drop, but there was no stutter that came with it.. <-the best I can explain it.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I put mips back to default for this test as you requested, 1:48am, you can wait until tomorrow for the mips tweak test :)

I wish I didn't notice them either, but I do. And those spikes, along with significant fps drops in certain areas, ruined my experience in FC3. The test you did was with the fix eelnico09 suggested right? If so, then it clearly doesn't work.

I was curious if disabling mip0 would help and turns out FC3 has this option as well. So I disabled it, but no dice.

Yep I had smooth performance (with driving stutter) when using the Mips disabled tweak.

I took it off and stutter was EVERYWHERE! Pretty much the unplayable mess everyone else has.

With mips still enabled as above,....Did his tweak, removed stutter except when driving again, so it's as good as the mips tweak with better IQ.

At least..IMO thats something thats working to a degree, while not fixed, it's for the better.

Sounds like placebo. Benchmarking is tiresome, but I'm pretty sure the charts would be about the same after each fix applied.

But when mips is defaulted, I have huge stutter, with mips defaulted and -disablepagefilecheck is on, it's WAY better.

Thats not placebo IMO

I never had stuttering issues with FC3 and I run it at excessive settings but even on my old laptop I never experienced the stuttering that makes FC4 unplayable FC3 runs extremely well with the only annoying thing about it being that it reverts to windowed mode if you alt-tab from it.

Which one is the patch that allows Dualcore cpu to actually run the game?
