a solid 950w PSU will do the trick. it will allow for gpus and cpu to be overclocked heavily.

I would say 850w if you don't plan to upgrade in the near future, but if you do, than I would recommend something along the line of 1000w.

would a 850 be enough for gaming in ultra across 3 screens?

you don't power the monitors of the psu so in this case (with dual 290) yes.

I agree. Even generic i5 would do better.
