Alphacool Eisberg AIO Liquid Cooler

So I was looking around and searched the forum, no mention of this product whatsoever.

Whilst we know lots of liquid coolers come out all looking either like an asetek unit or a different design like the h100i the coolermaster eisberg series has been unique. However alphacool have now released a new AIO. It has the same branding as the coolermaster AIO, the same rad, hoses and pump/block unit as the new alphacool version. Below is a comparison between the two.

Only difference I can see between the two is the overall packaging and fan. Let me know your thoughts on this new AIO.

Their contract probably just ended, Coolermaster license their AIOs from alphacool if I remember correctly. So alphacool is taking over the sale. Expecting the CM one to disappear when sold out if I'm correct. Just a guess though.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Cooler Master AIO's are dead to me until they release the promised Glacer 360L. All the big name AIO's and Thermaltake is the only company that can bring a 360 AIO to market. For shame Corsair, Cooler Master, Antec, etc.

Yes, shame on them for not releasing an even more niche product that would get so few sales that it doesn't make as much sense to have one.

I'm sure when the first company released an AIO cpu water cooler it was pretty niche then, and now everyone sells one. What is niche today its often mainstream tomorrow. I support the companies that innovate and lead, not those that cash in on established products with no risk.

How is a 360 AIO moving things forward, exactly?

Most people in the AIO segment seem to stick with the very useful 120/140 sets. 240/280? Even smaller segment. 360/420? Eh...fairly certain people are custom looping at that point.

Market saturation is a real thing. 120/240 AIOs sit in a segment where a lot of sales happen and there is a lot of ways to differentiate and market to get said sales.

360 AIOs? Not really. It's such a small slice that the R/D required doesn't match the return they would get, so why put out a "me too" product when there's no need?

Companies have to balance innovation and cashing in. They like making money, all of them. Don't be so naive to think they don't. No risk cashing in is a corporations wet dream.

bought one on cyber monday from scan Uk at a very very good price! Sadly price has gone back up but its stil amazing in comparison to what cooler master were charging

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/alphacool-eisberg-120-all-in-one-cpu-cooler-for-intel-amd

Scan as ever were great - I want to shout out Dawn in customer support for really making my day!

I actually found out about this because fractal design talked about working with alphacool on their AIO

Also not certain if I just got lucky or not but when I got it, it came with two 120mm CoolMove 2 1300rpm

the whole thing is beautifully put together,

Also great online support from Germany with answers to questions in moments

Its going to be used in a water cooled intel/asus gtx 970 in an elite 110 (with attached handle)

its specifically built to be a portable rig for research/education with a DK2 (and DK3 in due course)

(Its going to be used with the phobos PTSD/Anxiety to help people with life threatning issues)

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/phobos-anxiety-management-vr-platform

I'm am also hoping to add Thunderbolt to it via the 4x NGFF/M.2 connector and outputting above the USB3's

although the thunderbolt and/or the USB3's  may be replaced by a USB 3.1 when that becomes available

anyhow I haven't actually built with it yet - but so far very very impressed and very greatful to Scan for saving me the money
