Can i cut this cable?

Gofspar

Can I cut this two pin off of the cable since my GPU takes a 8 + 6 pin?

Why bother? if you upgrade your GPU in the future, what if it needs those two extra pins?

I wouldn't do it, if it touches something metal in the case that will be bad.

It's ugly as fuck though. :L

I'd like someone to back me up on this, but those two wires should just be ground so it wouldn't harm anything.

maybe just tuck it in somewhere if you can?

I doubt that two wires that were cut off would look any better.

Just hide it behind the other connectors in a way you won't be able to see it with the side panel on.

Definitely not. They're far too easy to bridge by accident, and that's gonna short out the whole system. Hide them behind the case and use a 6 pin extension if it's that annoying.

you're right, search it up on google for diagrams (image not supported by community :P)

But don't do it anyways, probably end up doing more bad than good

no, seriously you shouid do what I did.

listen closely:

Bring the cable UP to your GPU and tuck the 2 pins in the area you can't see from outside behind the rest of the 6 pins, Use black zip ties to conceal it, and BOOM, looks fantastic

First time building a PC from scratch so it's an adventure for me, I'm used to just slapping a new GPU in each year.

This is my CPU power cord right?

I can't really see any cables but if you're asking if that's where you plug it in, then yes it is.

Would cost more, but you could always get some 6pin extensions. Also requires more cable management but is cleaner from the important side.
