Integrated graphics CPU.

Go to solution Solved by harrynowl,

Intel:

On LGA1155 and up all mainstream Core series (inc Pentium + Celeron) CPUs have some form of integrated graphics unless they have the "P" suffix.

On LGA1156 i3s had integrated graphics.

On LGA775 the 965G/G31/G41 chipsets had onboard graphics.

On the LGA1366 + 2011 platform, no onboard/integrated graphics.

Nehalem laptops and up (1st Gen Core i series) had integrated graphics excluding i7 quads

AMD:

On AM2, AM2+ and AM3 and to a lesser extent AM3+ nForce 630a, 760G, 780G, 860G, 880G, 890G have onboard graphics with the chipset.

On FM2 all AMD A series APUs have integrated graphics. CPUs branded as Athlon don't.

On FSB1 (AM1) all APUs have integrated graphics.

Any A series laptop has integrated graphics, and the new FX7600p also has integrated graphics.

Does all cpu have integrated graphics? If so how would you activate them? :o

yes except the Xeon

you just go to the BIOS to enable the iGPU

Not all, but nearly all of Intel's recent lineup has had integrated graphics. On the AMD side, I think only their APU's (A6, A8, A10, etc.) have integrated graphics.

You don't need to "activate" it in most cases. Integrated graphics can be disabled in the BIOS, but most motherboards will default to it being "on" if you have a monitor plugged into the motherboard's HDMI/DVI output.

some BIOS need you to force the iGPU to work

as long you have a GPU installed in the PCI-E 16x slot

the iGPU will stay off
