Going to be useing a Swifttech MCP655 pump. I will be cooling my CPU and graphics card in custom loop. My question is what size of res do I need? Obviously the bigger the more expensive so ya, thanks.

You just need one for easier filling and bleeding of your loop. How big it is, is up to you and what your case can handle.

Something like the EK D5 X-RES 140 would be fine.

Needs to mount here, I'm not sure I could do that with that one. I'm not against a pump/res combo, I just figured a seperate pump would bring better quality. My plan was the have the res mounted there with the pump directly below.post-155082-0-73468200-1417344190_thumb.

There won't be any added performance ('quality') from having the pump separate but if you prefer that, go for it. There are plenty of stand alone rezzy's to choose from.

This is a favorite of mine: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/9575/ex-res-156/Bitspower_Water_Tank_Z-Multi_150_Inline_Reservoir_BP-WTZM150P-BK.html#blank
