Norton ****ed up my O.S

He can possibly use System Restore(booting off the disk) to make the system usable again. I hope it's enabled.

Norton did alerted him of some missing or corrupt file, and it told him to restart his PC. On doing this the PC booted up fine and then said " Windows could not repair files automatically " I don't even know how. He does have another windows disk though??
How does one fix this problem help pleae

Step 1: Use system restore.

Step 2: Don't use Norton.

Yeah he got it pre built and he forgot to take norton off :/
