If I were to get a  250gb ssd and a 1tb hdd, then what would I put on each? Would I put all my games on the ssd? What if my ssd is too small? Do I put my games on my HDD? Then my games load slow. Its really confusing me, so if you guys could clear it up that would be appreciated. Thanks.

Here's the thing about load times. Most of the time, you will not be concerned about your load times when games are put on a hard drive. Yes, games may load a little slower, but it's not like you'll be sitting there going "This game is taking way too long to load!" That being said, I do have some games on my SSD - namely Skyrim and Euro Truck Simulator. In addition, I also have 3DMark 2013 on my SSD. All of my programs(including Windows) are on my SSD, while most of my games are on my 500GB hard drive. All of my media items are on my hard drive, and I have a 320GB hard drive that I use to store archived program revisions and drivers(including past and current revisions). My 1TB drive stores my system backup and the backups of my two aforementioned hard drives.

Whew, that was a lot to type.

I set it up on my dad's PC that programs and games are installed on the SSD (256 GB), so they are fast and snappy.

And he uses his HDD as mass storage. (Read: Documents, photos and stuff like that.)

You only install your OS and your main program on your SSD, and you store files and install games on your HDD. You can also install your favorite game on your SSD if you want to reduce loading times. You should also considering buying an SSHD (a hybrid drive) instead of a HDD.

Put your OS and your most frequently used programs (or in my case, all of your programs) on the SSD, and then make all of your games go on the HDD (like Steam, UPlay, Origin, etc.). Then (if you have other games that aren't on an online service), make a folder called "Games" and put all of your other crap there. That's what I did, and it works great.
