I would say the 780 Ti to be honest

Depends on where you live. I can get a 780 TI for slighly less than a 970.

Really? It must just be in Australia then, it's about $800 for the MSI Twin Frozr Edition

The worst price to performance GPU is the TITAN Z at launch prices. That car was phenomenally expensive for something which was just two GTX 780TIs on one pcb.
