The issue I'm having is when I overclock above 4.5GHz my PC BSOD's and says "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR"

Could somebody please tell me how to fix this issue? I have Windows 8.1 I'm not sure if that's the reason but PLEASE help me.

I could OC until 4.4GHz with no problem, but anything above it just BSOD's to "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR"
Please post/PM your Skype if you can help me like that as well! Thanks a lot! You dudes are awesome if you can help me fix this..

Add voltage (Don't go higher than 1.25-1.3V). If you are already there then you are at the point that requires too much voltage to be stable.

Overclock settings can't be forced to work if the cpu isn't up to the task, although making sure load line calibration is set to its highest setting is a good place to start, and increasing VRM frequency can help as well.

4.4Ghz for an i7 is already a very strong overclock.  What are you doing that requires you to go higher?

What CPU cooler are you using?

Overclocking comes down to luck of the chip.  Sometimes you get a good one, sometimes you don't.  4.4Ghz is very average for an i7-4770k, so its not like you have a bad chip.

I feel like it's horrible considering I wanted to go higher than 4.4GHz and higher than 4.5GHz.

I'm using the Corsair H100i (Running Push/Pull Configuration)

You have a good cooler.  What temps are you getting?

You have to go into overclocking with an open mind.  Sometimes you just can't get the overclock others get because your chip is different than the next persons.  Focus on getting the best overclock that you are comfortable with, that your chip can do.  It sounds like your chip just doesn't do 4.5Ghz.  What are you doing that you want such a high overclock for?

I didn't know .5GHz was a high overclock but after all I am pretty new to the overclocking scene.

I'm doing it just to say I did it and have it done tbh, nothing tbh! Just would like my custom build to have a nice overclock.

I was the same way when I first overclocked.  All I do is game though.  In the vast majority of games, there just no need for an overclock.  Unless you're playing games like DayZ, ARMA2/3, MMOs, Indies, Emulators, or have very high refresh rate monitors and need 60fps+ then there is no need to OC.  I have slowly been dialing my overclock back because I just don't need it.  I went from 4.7 down to 4.5, and now running 4.2Ghz because the only game I play that benefits from more than 4.2Ghz is ArcheAge, and I would rather have lower temperatures then an extra 5fps in some situations.

Find out a good blend of voltage, speed, and temperature for your chip and go with that.  Maybe its 4.4, or 4.2.  Whatever you are comfortable with.
