For gaming yes. Titan is a prosumer workstation card so to speak

Value wise, yes. A 780 is normally 90-100% of the performance of a Titan, but only 65% of the price for gaming. So, if you spent a little bit more, you could go for two 780s, and have insane performance.

If you are running crazy resolutions like surround 1080p or 1440p, the extra vram on the titan is an important value. But if you just run a single 1080p/1440p/1600p display, you are better of with the 780 or for the price even two.

For video editing nvidia cards are generelly better, i think, because of cuda. On the other hand amd has a better openGl support so that might be more important for you. (Not sure about this, i dont do stuff like that myself)
