Staying warm while hunting tips?

I've been hunting for while now, a few years. I have always been an outdoor person, hunting, fishing, camping, boating. I do them all. I have yet to kill my first deer although I hunt commonly. I am hunting again this weekend and it is going to be a bitter cold. I am okay with cold, but I don't want to be miserable like last year. I will be sitting in a stand 20 feet up. Tips on staying warm? I also would like a good way to stay entertained in the stand. Usually I things like iFunny to pass time. I enjoy reading as well. Any other tips on passing time? I hope this year is the one.

 

Post Script- I hunt with both shotgun and bow, depending on season. This weekend is shotgun.

Have you tried those Pocket Heaters ? (atleast we call it like this in austria), those things you bend end then it starts crystalizing and getting warm. Otherwise just put everything on twice :P

Get yourself some camo netting from your local walmart/army surplus store. Put this around your stand to keep most of the wind off you.

Keep those little hot pouch things in your pockets

 Where do you live and how cold is it? But just wear a lot of shit on. I go hunting regularly as well, so I know your pain.
