To the OP:

EVGA seems to offer a longer warranty.  Correct me if I'm wrong someone, but it seems as though you get 10 years vs 7 years with EVGA over Corsair.  That reason alone, to me, warrants the extra $6 the EVGA costs lol.

Actually... I take that back.  G2 850 is on sale for $144.99 at the moment.

That's not a sale. It was on sale 2 months ago for $102 The quality of the g2 is still higher. And if the OP wants to deal with a rebate it's $125

Not with the HX850 being on sale for $139.99.  That's $50 off regular price.. hard to recommend something inferior for more money :)

The EVGA offer better electrical performance, ripple suppression, build quality, full modularity, and as well as a 10 year warranty... How did you consider it to be inferior? O.o

Since earlier I've come to understand this is true about the build quality.  And yes, the G2 is on sale for 9% off @ Newegg.com.

With the mail-in rebate, you get an additional $20 off.

It's actually $135 on amazon. And I say it's not a sale because I think that is just the new standard pricing. Usually newegg and amazon say it's a sale instead of setting the price lower when it changes.

newegg does it a lot less so I can't be 100% sure it's not on sale but I think it is because I haven't seen it more expensive than it is now in the last 3 months I've been tracking it.

I get a little upset that Canada features generally higher prices than the US.  Oh well.

higher price because money is worth a tiny bit less

I was originally going for a Corsair RM750 for my new build until I read the reviews, now I'm going with the EVGA Supernova G2 750 instead (and I've always been a huge Corsair fan). Read through these and you will go with the EVGA  ;)

Even if the ratio was 1:1, the US would still boast better prices than their Canuck counterparts.

you'd be surprised. most pc games (well. not with the steam canadian currency .. that is quite recent)  are the same price as us. 59.99 or 69.99 $

Evga 850 watt g2 Johnny guru review. (Better rated than the rm850)

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=377

Sorry I'm posting this again, I'm using my phone and it's freaking out haha anyway I did decided on the super nova g2 but I had a thought of getting the 750 instead? I have a 290 now oc'd and I kind of want to xfire in the future but that doesn't mean I will. If I did i don't think the 750 will work but would the 850 even work for xfire 290s??

The 850W would be fine with R9 290 crossfire.

A good quality 650 watt PSU would suffice even.
