Nexus 5 or IPhone 5C

Go to solution Solved by laxer,

I would go with the Nexus, however I can see why some individuals would chose the Iphone.

There is no clear winner, the choice is yours :)

I will add a +1 for also considering the M8 and Moto X.

Hello,

My contract runs out towards christmas and I have the option for a new phone.

Here is my question, stick with android (nexus 5) or switched to IOS (IPhone 5C.

Pros for Nexus 5

  • Pure android
  • Large screen
  • better specs
  • Lollipop

Pros for IPhone

  • Syncs with itunes (big pro)
  • Better camera

At the moment I am leaning more towards the iphone as all I am planning on using the phone for is music and taking the occasion photo. I use itunes on my computer a lot and this ability to sync it a huge advantage.

But I want to hear your opinion.

This post is getting pretty long so I will let the poll do the talking.

Nexus 5... Aside from me not liking Apple's business practice, but Nexus 5 is outright better (my opinion)...

Also, i'm using iTunes to transfer music to listen on my iPod, and it's horrible! It's so counter intuitive... When i first got it as a gift, i just copy pasted my music, and nothing, and i was like "WTF"...

Also, why couldn't you use Nexus 5 for Music O.o

If you want you could do a select all and drag from iTunes into the nexus5...

As per the phones, I have a nexus 5. The Iphone5 is a solid option if you like iOS but, I dislike it.

I have used both android and IOS in the past so i am familiar with both and like both, that is why I am finding this decision hard.

Since you added a poll for us to give you a suggestion, look at:

- Moto X 2013, a very good phone

- Moto G 2014, also a very good phone

And if you can, try looking at Sony Xperia Z2/3 and HTC One M8 :D

There's more pros for the nexus and you're still leaning towards the iphone? Logic.

Feel free to message me if you want to chat!

If I had the budget I would definately go for a m8, sony is out of the question because the doesn't really bring any feature. I have looked at the old Moto X as it is half the price on ebay.

Looking at the specs of the moto X it is an upgrade in every way to my current phone ( Htc one s ) unlike the nexus 5 ( the camera being the same if not a bit worse).

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely look into the Moto x  :)

nexus 5. the old moto x's processing power is a bit dated but still a great choice for its unique features like the active display and twist to turn on the camera, plus I've seen some pretty good deals online.
