It would have cost him $1000 dollars to ship to other countries, it wasn't feasible. It's a shame that everyone ruined it for the people that could enter.

No one can tell him what to do and what not to do with the cards, in the end he could have just explained the transport a bit more then "dem rules".

But there are so many other competitions that just label it being US/Canada only as 'dem rules', so what is the reason that he should do it?

-shrug- Import duties are probably not included in that, but then again, don't think it'd be more than the declared value. Tried a bunch of other From locations and different UPS packaging options. He did mention "insurance" though, so not sure what that includes or how much that costs. 

 

Didn't try other EU countries.

 

e: Wouldn't compare 900D to GTX 780; size, weight, and volume are MUCH lower.

I agree that he probably should have said something similar to that, but people outside of the North America should be used to this by now.
