This is my first PC build. I want a powerful build to use for at least 6 years. (With some update).

Is it good?

Go for an EVGA G2 750w psu, it's better and likely cheaper.

You can also opt for a cheaper board; such as an MSI Z97 gaming 5/Asus Z97-A/Gigabyte Z97 Gaming 5. Motherboards have virtually no affect on performance (assuming it has all the features you need -- Z chipset and SLI support/number of sata ports/etc...)

I would also instead opt for a Corsair H105; and consider a Phanteks Enthoo Pro (but a case is highly subjective and the 780T is a fine case).

Oh, and get two 4gb sticks of ram instead as RAM operates in dual channel.

I think the motherboard is overpriced, and you can do better on the peripherals.

In order for us to help you,you need to state your budget, location, and the usage for the computer.

Please read the CoC, tips before posting, etc.

And welcome to the LTT forums!

Hope you enjoy your stay!

Changes:

Motherboard: Swapped it out for Z97-A from Asus to give you a bigger budget for something else. (You could go cheaper in all honesty)

CPU cooler: Swapped it out for an Enermax Liqtech 120x, costs slightly more but performs much better.

RAM: Went for a cheaper dual channel kit from ADATA

HDD: Went for a WD drive due to past experiences from both me and people I know.

PSU: Went for an EVGA G2, one of the highest quality supplies on the market and much cheaper than the RM series.

I didn't change the GPU as you might want to stick with a 970 for whatever reason... You could go up to a 980 if you want.

You could cut a bit on the case but I didn't change it as a case is something you'll want to pick out. Same with a monitor, you'll want to be the one to pick it out.

For the keyboard I'd recommend a Corsair K70, costs a bit more I think but it would be a much better choice than anything from Razer.

I didn't bother with the mouse as that's something you'll want to pick out.

I'm on the edge about the i7, if you feel like you need it then go ahead.
