Haha....I know... 

 

But my monitor arm only supports two sub 27" monitors, and I already have two 24" monitors (albeit shitty 1080p).....But I do really want a 4k display :unsure:

if you look at my build log you can see that my desk has two levels for monitors :P

Ugh.... 

 

I shouldn't....I know I shouldn't.... 

I don't really want to explain to my parents why I have 3 monitors on my desk (in college) rather than focusing on studying.... Or the whole having to deal with bringing home a 28" monitor when I graduate in three years. 

 

But I do really want a 4k monitor....and I do have a two 780s, so I can drive 4k without too much trouble even though I only have one with me.... (but a single 780 seems to be doable at med~ settings).

Knowing the US and the their conversion rate they probably think 400USD = 400GBP

4k 60hz works over DP. 

 

HDMI (sub 2.0) and DVI by definition don't have the bandwidth to handle 4k 60hz.
