is COD really dying?

anyways, i take a coding class in school and i got stuck in a period with all 9th graders (im a senior). since its a coding class, you would think that they all have super nice gaming pc's and what not. but no they all mostly play console except for some who play league. my entire row plays console and talk about console games like a religion( like every 9th grader would). 

 

anyways advanced warfare came out and they all talk about it like they just got the xbox 1 for free. and it doesnt feel like the series is dying (by dying i mean that people are loosing interest. not the # of sales_

had been playing since cod 2 days. and yes, their mind set is quite annoying. i try to have them join the pc. telling them that graphics are sick and that you can actually use a controller. but they are more ignorant than the bible belt.

I don't care much for COD, I had I think the 2nd one when I was younger, didn't like it, ended up getting rid of it.

I thought the series was dieing until advanced warfare come out ghosts was a piece of shit. I would say the last really good one was blops 1

Ewww no, black ops was a complete failure in my eyes, the sound effects, the guns, everything.

Mw2 was best imo.

i would say blops 1. but the colors and gameplay really threw me off. the last good one may have been blops 2 (not mw3) i used to play cod on console only (since they hated pc) but ultimately the connection issues with blops 2 made me hate the game with a passion

i really shouldnt. i hate to say it but that generation does look troubling (freshman this year are the first to be born after 90's). the kid next to me doesnt do anything but play infront of the screen the entire day (usually when you ask someone what they did over the weekend. they would atleast lie and tell you something interesting). and the kid on my left can be manipulated into doing anything. im a nice guy so they think im really good friends with them. but honestly their mindset is very childish for my taste as they talk about nothing but girls ass's (though its nice)  and other random crap. whenever i would like to talk about something better than their asses like helping them get a girlfriend. they fucked it up too the other day when a girl actually came up to them to talk.

The first video game I ever played was GTA San Andreas when I was 6. I learned more from that then I have learned from a lot of people I know in IRL. I certainly turned out fine.

Their marketing attracts almost all age groups, including kids. And we all know that kids love action and war, I know I did when I was young. This is why they won't die. As long as kids love war, there will be CoD

the only way it can die is if there is a true FPS to take its spot. halo died in an instant after cod 4 came along (not really an instant but you know)

well i think it is dying, blops 2 was the last game that sold better that the one before it, afterward it has lost something like 10-15% of sales, yes i know sales aren't the same as a fan base, but it does represent general popularity, also the games is already dead on pc, AW peaked today at 35000 players today on steam, which is nothing compared to each console having almost a million users playing on prime time, plus it doesn't help that hackers are already infesting the game, less than a week since release, so yes i do believe is dying but its bleeding very, very slowly

MW2 was pretty shitty with all that commando pro bs.

COD4 is probably the best in the franchise, and yes, I've played every COD before.
