Playing Music while Gaming

pewpewmerica

Do you have music playing while gaming, if yes what kind of music and does it help you?

Me personally, I play trap rap (like chief keef)  while playing fps games sometimes because it gets me pumped up, when I am not tryharding or anything, since playing music kind of makes youconcentrate less imo.

PC Specs:  2x GTX 550 ti in SLI - Intel i7 2600k @ 3.4Ghz - Thermaltake Overseer Case - 8 GB Corsair Vengeance Ram - 1TB Harddrive - 500 Watt PSU that came with my old prebuilt pc lawl -  ASUS P8P67 EVO

Peripherals:  Razer Deathadder Black Edition - Razer Arctosa Keyboard - Logitech G53 Headset

Cool song of the day: Chief Keef - Round da Rosey    Changed my profile pic again...                                        Mountain Dew is good. So are video games and music. Oh and unicorns.

i usually look up a 10 hour video and just have that playing in the background or just set a song to loop because the group of people i skype with dont talk alot because a lot of the time we are focusing.

I usually just have Spotify playing in the background, just looping through my favorite music. They're usually not pump-up songs, just normal stuff.

Haven't studies shown that music oftentimes helps you to concentrate?

Sometimes I'll listen to some classical music (Mozart, Beethoven, etc) or electro-industrial, but most of the time I don't listen to any music.

I don't listen to music. It takes away from the experience for me. I like to listen to all the pew pew pew sounds and roar of car engines when I'm playing my FPS and Racing games.

I listen to 60s, 70s and 80s Hits on Pandora. I just like it. Sometimes it makes BF3 lag alot so I have to listen to some music on my computer. I also watch some movies while gaming or listen to a podcast. When I play MineCraft I watch TV shows.

I usually listen to techno while I'm gaming. The only times I don't listen to music while gaming is when I'm playing a campaign or something story based with dialogue.

depends on the game. Something with lots of storytelling I never play music to. When I listen to music, mostly metal.

I just listen to my usual music while gaming, pausing it during dialogue. They're usually very fast paced anyway. Metal is great. :)

I have a playlist of FLACs on Foobar2000 with music stored on Google Drive. For the music I can't rip I just store it on a list on Youtube.

Hello forum !

I usally play games and listen music on youtube. But recently I have found out that I can't play Battlefield3 with music on youtube (via firefox), the problem is FPS drop and delay between mouse and ingame screen. I have enabled RAW input for mouse in BF3. Can you help me? I stream BF3 with 0 issues, like no delay between mouse and screen, it is working perfect. But with or without stream when I play youtube music my game starts lagging hard :S. Cpu fx4100 and hd6770. I play BF3 @ 1080p everything high at 40+ fps.
