Hey, my friend is in need of some help. He is a school yearbook leader, and he needs CPU that can basically handle Photo editing, Video editing which is once a month for rallies, and Non- AAA games. He plays some Dota, Team fortress, but that mostly it. I don't really know his specific kind of budget as he hasn't texted back yet.

FX-8320 on a budget, or if you can afford it then Xeon E3-1230 V3 (I wouldn't go with the 1231, because that's Haswell Refresh, the non-refresh 1230 means you can  use the cheaper H81 Intel boards without needing a BIOS update)

Isn't Luhan from SHINee?

What is the total budget and what does he already have? The cost of the chipset/mobo and whether or not he needs an aftermarket CPU cooler for OCing matter. For instance, while the 8320 is way cheaper than $180, you'll want a good AM3+ mobos and at least a 212 Evo, which combined can go for upwards of $100.

He is thinking about geting the msi 970 gaming series. And 180 for cpu and aftermarket cooler
