Can this be hooked up to my PC for surround sound? I dont have optical out, jsut 5.1 things

You'd need optical for actual 5.1. 

 

It's not the best, but would work and sound decent :)

Really I have 5.1 working with on board Audio(Not using digital) with my Z506's works great.

The VR-705 does not have multi-channel analog inputs. You will need to use digital for surround. A pretty cheap sound card would likely address this.

I currently have my Auzen X-Fi Forte soundcard hooked up to my Marantz SR7001 receiver via digital coax, I have the option of using optical as well. I have my soundcard outputting DTS 5.1 via DTS Connect and it works flawlessly.
