Upgrade my 3770K?

There is no reason to upgrade. You will barely notice difference. Better save money for Skylake or Zen.

I'm thinking of upgrading my 3770K to a 4790K, but i'm not sure if its worth it. My other upgrade option is to sell my 290X and buy a GTX 970. Again, i'm not sure if either one is worth it. So do you guys think I should upgrade my CPU? Would there be a difference?

Neither require an upgrade at this point but I would sooner go for the GTX 970 than the 4790k

I really doubt it, my 3770k hardly breaks a sweat. Is 3-400 dollars worth a couple of frames?

Not worth upgrading

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

You be wasted money on both. Just sit tight and enjoy your games. Until they no longer run the way you want.
