Nope you need a special motherboard.

It also costs $4000 and is not compatible with video editing programs like after effects, premier, or vegas.

Hi everyone. I have a little PC I use for rendering and editing videos and such. It runs a 4970k with a 780ti. I had a little money to upgrade my PC and so I had this crazy idea. Take a co processor like the Phi and add to the remaining pcie slot. Would it work? Thanks in advance!

The Xeon Phi is an expensive piece of hardware aimed at businesses and scientific research organizations...

 

It would be cheaper to get a second or third 780Ti... and still have change leftover for a storage upgrade...
