I believe it was actually 667MHz not 666MHz.

Yes for the 800EB there was both a slot and socket version. I went with the slot as it was a lot easier to install. I believe after this there was one or 2 more models that was slot 1, before Intel switch to socket only. AMD has a slot CPU call Slot A.

Oldest I used was an early IBM from the late 80s. First one I bought was an AMD phenom 2 x4 which I'm still running for a couple more months.

I am a bit skeptical your first cpu was significantly older than you.

I was 4-5 years old when I got it, I had a black and white monitor, It was MS Dos obviously and I was mostly playing Supaplex, Gorillas and BattleChess, many other titles I can't remmeber.

My parents bought the computer second hand since we could not afford a newer computer, nothing to be skeptical about.

If i look hard enough I can probably dig up an old 386 processor that turbo'd to 80Mhz, compared to my 3570k I think its a slight improvment.

Terve!
Well, I do have an old Windows 95 laying around (still working though). It has a Pentium 1, but I am not shure if I am correctly remembering that it was clocked at 1.5 GHz.

The newes one is the 4770k, which I overclocked to about 4.2GHZ, but with the TEC there will be more (hopefully).

Just for the lols: I am quite happy with my FX 8150 at 4.9GHz as well.

Sayonara!
