Looking for employee monitoring software

My employer asked to install employee monitoring software that has the ability to record to the server.

I have couple considerations, but if anyone has personal feedback or opinion please post.

It will make my choice easier.

I haven't seen this yet, going to check this out.

 

I remember about two months ago there were articles about some people using software to spy on innocent people.

The software they used was actually intended for company monitoring. Somethign like Rat...

Depends how you look at it. If you are an employee that doesnt spend half the worktime on facebook/etc then I can't argue...

So far only feature that I can't find is recording to server. Instead data recorded locally and then transmitted to server on request

Proxies, VPNs, and others ways to bypass.

If employee strikes multiple warnings he will get fired with an actual evidence.

We use it in a school as a back up line of defense behind a Bloxx proxy. Console clients get a live feed from the screens of all client machines.

 

Edit: by that I mean we have a list of keywords that flag a screenshot for the current user. So when a kid googles 'hardcore porn' they are blocked by the proxy for safeguarding and we have a screenshot to show them/their teacher/their parents

Basically employee's slacking off and employers have/hire someone else catch the slacking yet no one does any meaningful work. Sounds like a solid company to work for :lol:

Do you wish to monitor employee computer activities or server activities? There is no need to monitor server as system admins will do it wonderfully. For employee monitoring, you can use various software's such as keylogger, nestersoft, on premise RHUB remote support appliances etc.

Refog  Employee Monitor is one of the most popular keylogger for monitoring employees, however, it seems too expensive; I have using Any Keylogger http://www.anykeylogger.com (much more cheaper only $19.95) for long time, It also works well at my company.
