K then tell us the temps after a couple mins...

CPU temps go to max in a matter of seconds. There is no 'warm up' time.

My 4690k is currently running stock speeds i just wanted to test temps before overclocking a ran prime95 small FFT and got temps lowest core 68c highest 75c and this was just 20seconds in.

Something surely is wrong here :(

Did it go any higher than that? If not, then those temperatures are fine and I apoligize @Enderman for that stupid quote.

Nope unless you have a custom loop with a large resevoir.

I can start rendering a video and my CPU temp will rise to 68 degrees C in about 10 seconds and stop there.

Nope unless you have a custom loop with a large resevoir.

I can start rendering a video and my CPU temp will rise instantly to 68 degrees C and stop there.

Alright, but ive had different experiences with my AIO's

Its also impossible for the liquid to go to its max temp in a matter of seconds, just saying

Then that is fine. Anything below 85C is safe, you can OC it a little if you want.

The fluid is moving so fast that it transfers the CPUs heat to the radiator faster than the water will heat up.

This is why even if my CPU is at 68C my H100i fluid temperature is at around 30-34C under load.

I was thinking, "Those temps are kinda iffy for stock speeds". Maybe try remounting it and using higher quality thermal paste (Not sure how good the pre-applied paste is, although probably not the issues). How are the fans running?

cpu also does boost to 4ghz so yh not stock while stress testing
