Hello! This is my first build log on the LTT forum. I'm currently still planning this as i go but I'm working on it almost every day. I have a Cooler Master HAF X case that I am modding and painting. I chose green and blue for the case colors as those are the colors of Nvidia and Intel, and for the fact that my current build is all red with no AMD parts what so ever. Nothing against AMD, i just like the competition better :) Anyways, I am going with a full water cooling loop (acrylic tubing with green coolant), sleeving the cables (green and black), etc. Everything I possibly can to make this pc build as customized as possible. I already have most of the parts for this as i am 'recycling' my current pc with some upgrades as well.

BTW i use my PC mostly for gaming, but i also do video editing / screen recording and 3D design for my 3D printer.

Here are my specs:  http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7rYqwP

I'll have some pictures of the case so far up later today. Thanks for looking!

Yep! I'm doing this as a "Dream Build" kinda thing. I'll eventually be upgrading all the components as well to use DDR4 in a year or two when the price starts to come down a little and there's actually more of a use for it :) I'll get new GPU's then too.

Can't wait! Mind if I ask you why you chose 780s instead of 970s?

It's just because i already have two 780's with water blocks in my current PC that I'm going to reuse and paint the water blocks. I'll eventually move up to 980's I think. Just sort of a convenience and budget thing at the moment :)

I see, that's a very valid reason :)!

Why X79 instead of X99? DDR4 too expensive?

Yeah pretty much. I personally dont see too much of a benifit at the moment and i already have most of the parts for my build from my current pc i built about a year ago.I'll be upgrading the system in a year or so anyways :)

Just thought I'd give you all an update. Last night i finished painting the radiators, water block mount for the cpu, and the gpu water blocks. I also had the rest of my water cooling parts come in the mail :D So I'll have pictures up soon. I just tore down my old pc yesterday for the parts, so things should start to move along more quickly now :)

That military green really looks nice :D

The blue interior kills it though...

Anyways, keep the good work ;)

Thanks! :)
