Keeping MSI Z97 Gaming 5 and do custom water loop.

Sell Gaming 5 for ROG Hero and use h100i for a year, then do loop.

I want something fast and affordable. what is the value of a used MSI Z97 Gaming 5 mint condition?

It's mint condition.

Keep the Gaming 5 and do the loop now, ROG is overpriced for what it is and you will get a just-as-good OC on the Gaming 5 as you will on a Hero.

DOn't get a H100i if you're going to do a loop, get a H220x or H240x and expand it.

I have a ROG board and basically this. You won't see any improvement as an upgrade.

Your first mistake was buying an MSI motherboard.

MSi boards are nice, it's their customer service that's shitty

How?

Notice MSI having to have their boards at much cheaper prices to try and get more marketshare?  There is a reason for that.  There are better options.  Asus, Gigabyte, ASRock ..

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

ASRock is not crap.  Asus had wanted to buy back the company because they are doing so well putting out nice boards but ASRock said no thus far.

If you get a nice Swiftech all in one, you can eventually expand it due to their powerful pumps. Keep the G5, you may as well.

Better keep the MSI board, don't waste $100+ for an AIO unit, which won't be used a year later.

Depends on your area.

Ebay would be a better option tho.

As a frequent seller, I've learned that you will not get close to retail. Your best bet is selling on forums or Amazon. I would say you probably will be able to get about $100 from it after fees and shipping on Amazon.
