Thing is I won't bitch about it. The fact that I am not too lazy to turn the eyes on or my brightness down, means I can also Ctrl+A.

only half of that was colored because damn it takes effort to recolor every letter

I guess, to add, I don't find the bright theme too bright (PC on full brightness), and I'm in a mostly dark room.

I always thought grey (noise background) was the perfect color for a forum for this reason. Bright colors look better, and more professional, but a light grey takes the edge off of the brightness and add some homeliness to it.

Very few forums actually do the grey noise in posts with a black or non-grey/white background though

I am getting sick of hearing night theme users whinge and moan about people not formatting their posts,  if the night theme has an issue and doesn't work then don't use it. Stop clogging up threads complaining because of an option you have chosen. 

 

For the record I work in a 99% light controlled room with the day theme just fine.

Do people color their posts like this? No. I've never seen anybody do this, but people just have to use a darker colored text when they're using day theme because it'll look nicer or something. I shouldn't have to change something I like because of other people's actions.

I know you are trying to make it hard to read on night theme but you failed since that black is still readable lol

Can you guys stop using colored text like this post? It makes it hard for us Night Theme users to even see what you're talking about. My example is exaggerated because I copied the color hexcode of the night theme background and applied it to the text, making it blend into the background.

But can you guys please stop using colored text and format your posts properly?

Like seriously, even Slick uses/used the forum's Night Theme.

I find it hard to believe that slick really uses night theme when it is so broken like it is. Things in day theme are just completely removed from night. We can't see if threads have been locked,moved or posted in buy ourselves in the sub-forums, we cant remove options from polls, cant read a lot of text since people conveniently use the forum color and don't use post as plain text by default. I'm sure there are other things I'm forgetting at the moment

But you had to intentionally do that, no one is intentionally changing the color of their text to hide it from night theme users, the fact that people have been complaining about it since the night theme was first enabled means it is an issue that is not going away, The definition of insanity is doing the same over and over but expecting a different result, you've tried to get people to reformat copy/paste and not use certain colors for text, but that isn't working, now it's time to try something different, I.E not using a broken theme.

 

It's a bit presumptuous to expect other people to put extra work into their posts solely so you can use a broken theme without having to do a bit of extra work to read it.

I've started to use day theme during the day time though (would you look at that, it's as if the name was made for the day time)

I don't mind it as much during the day. Still change it back at night

That should solve your "not everyone knows when you copy and paste text on this forum it keeps the source color and some users view the website with inverse text colors" problem
