Cyrus

Went to the gym today and the guy who helps around in the gym dropped a 5kg weight right on my phone...

And yes it bent and the camera and screen got crushed:(

No pictures because the phone does not work....

The question is why you need a spotter for 5kg- that is ridiculously light.

Whatever falls on that will break, people put cases on their 3310's to protect the environment.

I don't think there is any smartphone that survives being crushed by a 5kg, maybe those explosion-proof kind of smartphones will. Which only people working in factories use, because they aren't that practical.

The weight won't break the phone, the phone will break the weight. lol

As far as survivable smartphones, probably the Kyocera Brigadier

it doesn't look that horrible, maybe it can even be fixed, the mobo is on the side so it could have survived

I did this as well with an 80lb dumbbell. Got caught in the headphone wire ripped out my iphone and then slipped out of my hand in my confusion.

Moral of the story, weights break phones if dropped on them.

Let me see if I can get the pictures
