The HL2 episodes are actually better. Although shorter, the pacing is better.

Considering that the model doesn't look that much like the Gman in HL one I think they tried to keep the look more similar to the original game rather then making a huge change. And I think it's the same with Kleiner and Eli Vance.

the objective is to create a model which serves the purpose well in-game. Not to create an exact replica of the real like person.

I'd bet Gaben's plate probably has a lot of 3's
