Are these good cpu temps?

Go to solution Solved by Superspeed07,

i didnt install it, it was a computer repair shop because i didnt have tharmal paste on hand and also it was free so

Sounds like you need to make sure they put thermal paste on, it isn't terribly expensive, you only need to put about a grain of rice sized "drop" of it in the middle of your cpu then put the heatsink back on, make sure it is tight to the cpu

97C is very hot...

You might want to buy some new thermal paste and remount the cooler, maybe buy a 212 evo.

You need to remount the cooler. 64C is so much too high for idle. Idle should be more around 35-40

Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

Oh, sorry, missed that. 32°C must be a rather uncomfortable room. Lowering that (A/C?) might help some.

Additionally, as suggested above, check for dust but also take a hard look at your cable management. A lot of times, messes of cables obstructing airflow can make these problems much worse.

Not your case, the cooler that is on your cpu, I would make sure it is mounted correctly, make sure it is clean between the fins - you can use canned air or something similar. Make sure your thermal paste is ok as well, you only need a little bit ~ the size of a grain of rice.
