Dragon Age Origins On The House [Free]

I'd imagine they're more desperate to drum up some hype for Dragon Age Inquisition's release

Good point! I even forgot that was coming.

So I guess you play Origins and when Inquisition is released, you immediately think "I gotta play me some of that!".

I hate to say it, but well played EA.

Nice, I'll actually play this now. Won't be paying money for Bioware's talking simulator technology ever again...

Git Gud.

They are probably doing this to introduce people to the Dragon Age franchise before the new one comes out in around a month.

They had the sense to do it with Origins and not DA2 at least xD

I'm starting to grow a collection of Origin games. And I haven't bought any of them. Nor have I played any of them.

so many unskippable cutscenes... I stopped playing after 5 minutes of real gameplay because some ginger came up to me to talk about my dog and it wouldn't let me skip any of the mindless banter.

But...but... That's the best and most important thing about Bioware games! Y U NO give it a chance?

I like cutscenes but I don't like unskippable cutscenes. What if I'm playing for the second time? It is an RPG with variations right so chances are I'm playing for the second time.

Well, in these cutscenes, dialogue choice is the key. So you can pick different type of dialogue and have a unique experience every playthrough. Anyway...

If you got in on the BF3 on the house deal, i would recommend at least installing and playing it. Much more polished than bf4 at the moment.

After the actual talking ends, it shows it in text at the top. I think you should be able to just skip the talking and read the text to give your response, rather than sitting through 5 minutes of dialogue every time something minor happens.

Bought this game retail before Origin existed, and my DLC wouldn't work.  Bought the game on Origin, DLC wouldn't work.  Bought the game on Steam... haven't tried yet, not optimistic.  EA Support was horrific though.

Incredible game, however!  RIP Bioware.

If you're on the fence and haven't tried DAO, it really shined on the PC version, and I don't just mean that in the usual 1337p resolution omg so shiny, I mean it played a lot more like the classic 90's cRPGs (Baldurs Gate etc) with the camera work.  The console versions had this weird awful third person thing going on.  I never did get to try the Ultimate Edition content but there's a solid 60 hours of gameplay in the base.

Downloaded it but can't get it to work... something about "We are unable to connect to EA servers to activate Dragon Age Origins on this computer using your account. Please try again later" Can anyone diagnose this or help a brother out?
