Hey, when ever I have two displays connected to my GPU's (Radeon HD7970 in CF) the task bar gets serious rendering issues, Basically with every letter I type, move the mouse and other random times it keeps re-rendering but at the wrong location and then disappearing back to the correct location, it goes away **sometimes** if I'm in the middle of a game or full screen program, but not for things like full screen youtube.

I've tried updating to the latest GPU drivers, swapping my GPU's over to see if the primary one was kaput, Disabling CF, making sure I had the latest update for windows 7 installed, changing the primary display, some windows code diagnostic thing (It was a while back, forgot the name of it), and finally reverting my cards back to their factory clock speeds / voltages.

The only 'fix' I have is to remove my second screen but that makes my life a pain as my work is so much easier with it.

Okay, after been told I'm allowed to give you a link here it is: http://youtu.be/MjR3hcbqggY

Any ideas? And thanks for reading!

you can try the monitor calibration in the AMD CCC?

EDIT: it's not literally called "calibration" but you can tweak a little in the monitor settings. Just trying to get you on the right path, because i don't think it's a driver or hardware issue. Probably some settings that can be tweaked :)

If you mean set the scaling, colour depth and the likes I've already tried it. Cheers for the idea though!

yeah.. That's what i meant :) Maybe a refresh rate issue? The AMD software also has a function called 'Desktop management', you can use Eyefinity to create these desktop screens. Could be that both cards running 1 monitor on each card may have a sync issue when the eyefinity i not configured..

I was not aware that you could run 2 screens off 2 cards? I thought it was driven entirely by the primary card. Anyway I have tried Eyefinity, no avail.

The frame rate issue is possible, but it even happens in rare games locked to 60FPS, so I doubt its that also.

Cheers again
