H100i or H105?

I too share this question, I've seen some reviews where the 100i wins and others where the 105 does.

Which is better?

H105 uses a thicker radiator, so it's a bit better. But does not have LED lighting, Corsair Link support.

H100I has Corsair link support, LED lighting, but has a thinner rad.

The H105 only cool a few degrees less.

An X61 or an air cooler like the NH-D15 is better.

What you call "over rated" just could be customer satisfaction?

I'd personally go for a thin radiator. 2x120mm or 2x140mm doesn't matter. Most cases support those thinner radiators but not a thicker one like the H105.
Also brand doesn't matter. The popular AiO Cooler almost all perform about the same.
Only go for an Air Cooler, if the aesthetics of a big block on your CPU doesn't bother you (also NH D15 is still mud brown) and your RAM is low profile.

I had my H100i for  since Z87 came out. Runs great, idol temps 28c to 35c. But...the Led has to be set every time i start my PC.Link does not remember my settings anymore no matter the version. Also mutiple cables have to be routed from the block.Where as my H105 you just route one cable and choose from three color rings with white led in the middle. So simple i love it. Performance is slightly cooler, but i live in a desert climate. Also the H105 is thicker so make sure you got 65mm(this is with one set of fans) of clearance to the top of your motherboard.
