So I just got an Asus z97-a and a 4690k and put them in my system and it wont post. The red DRAM light is stuck on, I've tried placing all the ram in different slots, using only one stick, clicking memok to test each configuration and nothing will work. The ram is 8GB of Corsair Vengeance Pro (2x8gb) which came from my still functioning old system. The rest of the specs:

Asus DCII 769

seidon 240m cooler

Corsair CX500M PSU

The manual says to have the xmp switch on, which is it. This is the second z97-a I've gotten. The first was replaced because it was faulty.

If you want that done by tomorrow you´re basically screwed... Tomorrow morning go to the store you´ve bough it and demand a new board (the same model or another brand) or ask for a refund and go buy it in another store where their boards actually arrive working

Is the RAM on the boards list of supported memory? I had a problem with a sabertooth mk.1, as soon as I swapped a RAM kit that was actually on the supported list it booted up fine no problems. I had the same exact symptoms as yours (assuming your RAM isn't on the supported list).
