CPU won't overclock anymore

Go to solution Solved by Purplez,

Okay, I figured it out, it was some cores there was parked by windows and some BIOS settings, but it's solved, thanks anyway guys!

hey guys, my cpu won't overclock anymore (i7 3770k) it used to overclock, but after I reinstalled windows, and reset bios settings, it won't go above the standard boost clock 3.5Ghz, I tried the AIsuite there come with the motherboard Asus maximus V formula, and also by doing it in the bios, when I save the settings and it says target speed 4500 mhz then f10 and enter, it still at 3.5Ghz :/ there is no bluescreens, or any errorcodes, any idea?

also CPU-z it got 2 cores and 4 threads, but mine is an i7, it got 4 cores?

It says 16-45 which means it isn't being utilized enough to go the full 45x multiplier, and is just sitting at 35 until you do something more CPU intensive.

Make sure to turn off states that can downclock it when idle. As so can see it is still able to change its Multiplier from 16-45.

Does it go to full clock speed when you prime it?

try again while running something cpu intensive

Well I tried prime95 now, still the same :(

Make sure that you haven't disabled any of the cores

I havn't disabled any cores O.o

re-flash bios? Might register it correctly then.
