Help with Crossfire

So, I have an R7 260X and I am also going to purchase an R9 290. I am hoping to Crossfire these two cards, but I realized that one has a Crossfire connector and one doesn't. So would it still be possible to put them in Crossfire?

You can't crossfire a r9 260x and r9 290. Only cards that have the same architecture. 290 is hawaii 260x is uhh I forget.

you can only CF a 260X with a 260X or a 260!

I suggest you sell the 260X and buy a 285 though.

cant do that, they need to have the same architecture.

Even if the R9 290 has a CrossFire connector you still can't do it because they are completely different architectures.
