AMD Begins Massive Wave of Price Cuts on R9 290x and 290

  • 3 weeks later...

The reason C++ has overhead has to do with direct support of generics, something C doesn't do.

I actually created an account here just to challenge you on this bold claim of yours.  :P  As a professional SW developer with years of experience in C and C++, I'd love for you to explain where exactly you think that overhead comes from. I'm especially interested in hearing, how the fact that C++ supports generic programming creates overhead.

In the meantime, I'll assert that there isn't any overhead at all. You can rewrite any C program in idiomatic C++ with zip overhead compared to the equivalent C program.

I think you must have accidentally deleted your actual reply and left the edited duplicates in place.
