I remember a long long time ago, i played wolfenstein 3d and i got motion sickness. then doom 2, and it wasn't so bad, i still got it from times to times, then it never happened again. meanwhile i played many many many games, half life, about 2000 hours of counter-strike, battlefield skyrim, etc, almost every singleplayer game with a decent story, every game style, fps rts, rpg, etc, every viewing angles and stuff and i never got motion sickness. and now i decided to play thief gold and i'm getting really sick really fast, why is it happening? how can i prevent it? i really want to finish the game. thanks

You probably suffer from chronic motion sickness, take something like dramamine but TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR FIRST! Im some dude on the internet im not your doctor, that was a idea but make sure you ask before you take it just in case of some medical problem you may have.

hey, thanks for the replys i will look into that but i want to stress out that this has never happened in any game since wolfenstein 3d and doom 2 (and that was about 13 years ago when i first started pc gaming) and it only seems to happen in theif, and i'm curious why only this game causes me motion sickness

Edit: I replayed wolfesntein 3d and doom 2 a year ago and no more motion sickness :D

Some people get motion sickness from certain viewbobbing effects as well as three-dee effects.

It's not too uncommon. Some people can't play games on certain FOV's.

Don't worry about it too much just try to change the settings around in the game to suit your needs.

The first step to insanity is believing in your sanity.

My sister did psychology her first pass through college, and she did nothing with it, she just did it to get a degree and get out of school fast
