Despite the obvious thread derailment *sound of train crashing* how can you call yourself a socialist and say something equating to "a free market economy is fine"? Socialism runs directly counter to the idea of a free market economy. Also, I do agree with you that our 2 party system is a giant fuck up, even though it's not supposed to be a 2 party system, I for one blame "journalists".

I didn't say a purely free market economy is fine. It's not optimal but it's far better than a monopolized economy.

 

You have misconceptions of socialism if you think it can't exist in conjunction with a free market system. All of Scandinavia would like to disagree.

But that's how arguments work. If I change arguments, it's because I think you've made an effective counter. Debate is not one argument and one counterargument. It's argument to argument and then a stream of counterarguments until time is up and a winner is decided. It doesn't stop with your counter. I counter the counterargument and the debate continues.

How do I discard your argument? I can't discard an argument you're making. You do make a lot of invalid arguments based on misunderstandings though, like our conversations about points that led to some idiot quoting me out of context in their sig because they thought it was funny when I said "resolutions work differently on iOS." It's not funny. I know what I'm talking about here.

I feel that way...just like @LAwLz is one of the best members we have. I judge members not by how much I agree with them but how they phrase their arguments and how they attempt to stay fair. I think you two do that very well. I always enjoys reading the debates you two have.

Hehe.....It did get a little too sweet now but the funny thing is that the only problem here is how you perceive arguing online. A lot of people get really, really angry here when people disagree. I've seen so many posts complaining about people fighting, or how we should stop getting into wild discussions all the time...But I love it. I find it far more interesting when people disagree and fight tooth and nail for their opinions, and people don't have to agree with me in order to like them.

 

@Trik'Stari and me have about 2-3 topics in the entire world that we agree about, and the rest is just opposite land. I still like him:P

 

But a lot of people here seem to only want confirmation of their own opinion and the rest just goes on their ignore list. I dont get that.

Here's why I have a general dislike of him.

 

I had him completely chew me up and spit me out for no real reason, at my first posts since joining this site. I didn't care what his reasoning was (even if I was really right or wrong there, I would gladly accept a correction if I'm wrong!), he was personally attacking me. That was unacceptable. I also had several other users PM me after that incident and mention that he has a bit of a "reputation", so to speak.

I generally dislike @Builder's posts, because often enough as I'm reading through a topic about android, or even a completely random thread, all of the sudden Builder pops up and says "well APPLE bla bla, superior... Bla bla" as if to start a fight in the middle of an interresting conversation. It erks me.
