Windows 8 does not recognize my hard drive.

Volbet, I just did. It shows the drive. It is formatted as NTFS, it is Healthy (System, Active, Primary Partition), and 79% is free. It's layout is Simple and the type is Basic.

Does it have a drive letter assigned to it? You may simply have to assign it a drive letter (right click, select "Change Drive Letter & Path").

Just to start off, I'm new here! So, I have Windows 8 Pro on my custom machine. It has an Intel Core i5-3570K, AsRock Z77 Pro3, 8GB Kingston HyperX DDR3-1866 RAM, 600W PSU, AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB Windforce, Zalman Z11 Plus, a 128GB SanDisk Extreme SSD and a 2.5" 500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue. The SSD has my OS, and the hard drive has my Steam games. I had to reinstall Windows 8 last night (I wanted a "fresh start".) Before I reinstalled, the drive was recognized by Windows. After the reinstall and some driver installs, the drive has disappeared. Can anyone help me? I have tried installing Intel's RST, and it recognizes the drive, as does the BIOS. But of course, Windows 8 does not. Sorry if I am a bit repetitive.
