Does the mod help with FPS?

I've read that it sometimes does or it makes it worse. 

I'm getting ~35fps @ 1080p on medium settings.

Um... try it for yourself. As long as you back up the files it replaces, the changes are reversible.

It helps or doesn't effect framerate at all.

After installing all the updates and TheWorse's mod, it seems to have improved overall in performance and looks (for me at least).

If I recall correctly TheWorse's mod incorporates another mod that improves fps, but it, in and of itself, does not.

Weren't Ubi supposed to be releasing a performance patch at some point? I pre-ordered this but uninstalled it within a couple of days because it ran like a dog (ha!), just wondering if things have improved since then.
