Hello,

I am trying to overclock my intel i5-4570, I am aware it is not unlocked, But I know it is possible.  I can change the multiplier from auto at 32 (base at 100 mhz) to 36 in the bios and the bios will recognize that it is running at 3.6 ghz but when i boot cpuz and task manager says my cpu is running at 3.2.  the processor does turbo up to 3.6 so i don't really care if i can oc to 3.6.  I want a way to modify the base clock so i can surpass 3.6 ghz.

Thanks

I can help with programming and hardware.

First, MSI doesn't condone overclocking on their non Z97 boards despite it being possible and them unlocking these boards.

Second, honestly - it's not worth anyone's time "overclocking" a locked cpu.

You cannot change baseclock on that motherboard.

IIRC the bios updates only allowed changing multiplier.
