My friend has a PS4 and has a some what good laptop but he cant play high demanding games like BF4 on his PC. I was thinking, could you hack the hardware in the PS4 to make the PS4 the gpu for the laptop or the PS4 to run windows? I dont think it will work but if some one who knows away a way ply comment

No, it's a different architecture, and you'd basically have to re write windows

you would need special drivers and some hardware is specially tweaked for working good in PS4 OS not on windows so you can't put windows

Reading that gave me cancer. No and why would you? The PS4's hardware is already dated and is only optimised for the system. Just buy an eGPU adapter and don't ever use MLP related pics on here again.

Actually the X86-64 Architecture is being used in the PS4 and Xbox One so fundamentally Windows would run on the Microprocessor architecture however getting it to work with all of the devices and drivers to get any sort of life out of it would be .... well needless to say that its not worth the effort.

His best bet is to play BF4 on the console version as if his laptop can not play the games he would need to get one that can.

Main Machine:  16 inch MacBook Pro (2021), Apple M1 Pro (10 CPU, 16 GPU Core), 512GB SDD, 16GB RAM

Gaming Machine:  Acer Nitro 5, Core i7 10750H, RTX 3060 (L) 6GB, 1TB SSD (Boot), 2TB SSD (Storage), 32GB DDR4 RAM

Other Tech: iPhone 15 Pro Max, Series 6 Apple Watch (LTE), AirPods Max, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PS3, Xbox 360

Network Gear:  TP Link Gigabit 24 Port Switch, TP-Link Deco M4 Mesh Wi-Fi, M1 MacMini File & Media Server with 8TB of RAID 1 Storage

Same architecture (the new consoles are x86), but one would only have to recompile it. Still, it's not possible.

Oh, I thought it was a similar architecture, but not the same :S Oh well, still the same outcome really, you can't do it

Wait for someone else to do it...

People were able to get Linux onto PS2s, so why not PS4s?

It should be a bit easier with the architecture being x86 and all... The biggest problems would be modding it so that the software will be compatible, and drivers...
