So my friend is looking to building a pc as he has recently stumbled across a bit of de MONEY$

Here is the build that he is currently looking at:

https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_lists&wlcId=355240&action=wish_lists

He can also change the motherboard depending on which case he ends up getting

He would like a inverted case in either a micro-atx or a atx case mid tower.

His budget is roughly $100 AUD but it can go up to $150 MAX but some compromises might have to be made.

It must have a window or easily be able to mod a window in

We are currently looking at:

Bitfenix Outlaw (we would need to mod a window in to, don't want to do that)

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_1171&products_id=25299

Silverstone PS07 (has a window and everything)  Current favourite

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_1290_608&products_id=26490

Silverstone TJ08-E (we would either get the case from somewhere else that has a window, or get the window separately)

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_1290_608&products_id=17904

We might not get it from this website depends on price and shipping cost so just suggest which case and we will see which website we can get it on :D

@spwath I know you are a massive silverstone fanboy :P would you care to tell us the difference between the PS0-7 and the TJ08-E

I say TJ08-e because I had a huge crush on that case a while back (yes, don't judge me)

But the PS07 looks fine as well, get that if it's convenient

I will tell him your opinions as he will be excited to hear everyone's opinions

Also I don't blame you for having a crush on that case, I had/still have a crush on the FT01-B

1. It doesn't look inverted to me

2. It is $850, budget is $100, can stretch to $150 MAX but will be compromising other aspects of the build.

The case isn't inverted but the Mobo is, the I/O faces upwards (so GPUs will be vertical)

Tj08-ew has a window.

Ps07 is more plastic, and uses dual 120mm in place of 1*180mm

Tj08-e(w) uses an ap 181 in the front, and is more aluminum, the ap181 dominates 2x120 in terms of air/noise ratio

inverted = mobo is upside down and on the left side of the case

90° mobo = gpu / PCIe I/O is on top of the case

90° inverted is I/O on top and the mobo on the left side

Just to clarify

SPWATH TO THE RESCUE.

Thanks,

We have found the tj08-ew in aus,

http://www.cplonline.com.au/silverstone-tj08-ew-case-with-window.html?___store=default&___store=default&gclid=CjwKEAjw14mhBRC0vdSNkI2l7CASJAC8OFS0uN4z_6Lkrshk1IZSANMflCJppj8Y7H9pA4CjRrZWNRoCrCHw_wcB

Which one would you reccomend out of these two:

Silverstone tj08-ew $115

Silverstine ps07 $105

inverted = mobo is upside down and on the left side of the case

90° mobo = gpu / PCIe I/O is on top of the case

90° inverted is I/O on top and the mobo on the left side

Thanks for clarifying that for me

So I was right with saying inverted?

The tj08-ew would be better due to the ap181 and the brushed aluminum front, and only 10$ more, get that one

(TJ08 vs PS07)

Good 120's can beat the AP181, slightly in airflow, and noticeably in noise level (On paper anyways). That said, the PS07 doesn't come with good fans. You'll want to replace them.

And while it has a plastic front, it doesn't look all that bad in person. Feels cheap though, but your hands should be on your mouse and keyboard anyways.

While I have yet to build in it (Planned for Saturday or Tuesday), I have no regrets about my PS07. I would still buy it again over the TJ08.

Ok thank you very much for the reply, his budget is pretty limited so we will go with the tj08 because we won't have to replace the fans and also we find it sexier

I have actually built in the ps08-b previously, and while I liked it, there is NO cable management at all and we (me and dad) had a problem fitting the PSU in, so we got out some pliers :P PROBLEM SOLVED.

Yes, you were correct :D

my vote goes to the TJ08-E

Thankyou, and as of now, unless someone suggests a better case for cheaper/same price we are going with the TJ08-EW

Well the PS08 is an epic pile of crap that shouldn't exist. But the PS07 and TJ08 will have plenty of cable management room. Though for ease of use with the 24 pin, I wouldn't recommend buying a PSU longer than 160-170mm. Until I get an extension for my 24 pin, I can't route it through the proper hole because of how close it is to my 180mm PSU.

The PS08 is decent for the price, $45 especially in Aus.

Thanks about that power supply tip btw, the pso7 and the tj08 both use the same internal layout I assume?

The PSU that we have decided on is 160mm I think so it should be fine :)

Yep, with the exception of the front, they're identical.

As for sleeving, shouldn't be a problem. Someone borrowed my measuring tape and failed to return it so I can't get a proper measurement, but there is about an inch of clearance.

I own a TJ08-E and the only thing I would worry about is the type of gpu that's selected. It doesn't seem to do extremely well with dual fan gpu coolers.

Ok thanks for that tip! It is difficult to find decent blower style coolers here in Australia so will will probably keep the one already chosen
